I will be participating in a group lecture in the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin. Together with designers Dan Reynolds and Martin Wenzel we will talk about nowaday's approach to teaching type design. The event is organised by Prof. Bernard Stein (Kunsthochschule Kassel) und Florian Hardwig (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig) and will take place in the frame of the exhibition „On–Type: Texte zur Typografie“.

What you need to bring: your favourite pencil, paper, tracing paper and your laptop with Adobe illustrator installed.
This is a hands-on intensive workshop where the participants drive the process of thinking, drawing and refining a custom lettering. In a 2 days calendar you will be introduced to effective techniques to create a lettering from scratch, as well as methods for its execution into digital curves.
It is ideal for beginners and for those with previous experience who want to improve their techniques to draw type.
LVSC - OFFICIAL WORKSHOP IN BERLIN
A unique laboratory that combines both: lettering and calligraphy.
In a 2 days calendar, the participants will explore the two technical approaches as combinatory tools within the same design process.
The workshop consists in theoretical input combined with hands-on-work and critique rounds. It is ideal for art and design students and professionals who want to explore the possibilities of calligraphy in combination with drawing techniques and digital tools. In a few words, we will use writing and drawing for creating an unique typographic unit (or more). You will walk away from this workshop with a sharper eye when working with letters and with practical tools that will improve your own creative work.

I like to do videos and I did one for my classes in lettering design. It show the drawing technique I use for creating a lettering.
